Peter Gaughan,

Cross Boyd, Binghamstown, Belmullet, Co. Mayo - peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar on 12th January 2021.

Predeceased by his wife Hannah (née Lynskey) and his son Patrick.

Sadly missed by his only daughter Mary Keane, sons Martin, P.J. and Seán Gaughan.

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his twin brother John (Caistor, England), Mary Reilly (Emlybeg South, Binghamstown, Belmulllet), son in law Henry, daughter in law Mary, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of neighbours and friends.

Funeral will depart from McDonnells Funeral Home, Belmullet on Friday morning at 11.15 to arrive at St. Josephs Church, Binghamstown for Funeral Mass at 12 O’Clock followed by burial in Cross Cemetery.

Streaming of the funeral will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page after 5pm.

In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, Peter’s funeral will be private for immediate family only. For those who would like to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passes through the town and enroute to the church, please stand in a socially distanced manner on the streets, roadsides, outside the church and cemetery ensuring public health and safety is being upheld to the highest standard.

The Gaughan family appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.

Memorial Mass for the soul of Peter will be held at a later date. For those who cannot attend due to restrictions, please leave a personal message for the family on the condolence form on this webpage.
