Predeceased by his daughter Sharon.

Survived by his wife Josephine nee Forkan (Midfield) and daughters Mary, Erin and Claire, extended family in Ireland and overseas.

Burial takes place on Saturday in New Zealand.

The news of Frank McGeever's death has brought deep sadness to all who had the good fortune to know him in life. Frank's talent for sustaining long-standing friendships and for displaying an inspiring, positive attitude to life's many challenges made him myriads of friends wherever he happened to be. His loyalty to friends and to old acquaintances at home and abroad was exemplary and was as steadfast as is Nephin mountain in his native Mayo. As a brother and a brother-in-law he is greatly missed. We extend to Jo and to all his family our most sincere sympathy in their great loss. May he rest in peace.
