Ann Flaherty nee Joyce,

Castlelucas, Ballyglass, Claremorris, Co. Mayo – suddenly at her residence.

Predeceased by her husband Donal, parents Frank and Nora Joyce, sisters Mary Quinn and Carmel Joyce and brother Walter Joyce.

Deeply mourned by her sons John, Donal, Dermot and Kevin, daughter Joyce, daughters-in-law Eimear and Aislinn, granddaughters Anna and Aoife, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Removal from the family home on Wednesday morning to Our Lady Queen of Peace and St. Gerald Church, Mayo Abbey for Funeral Mass at 12 noon.

Burial afterwards in Guesdian Cemetery.

Due to COVID 19 Restrictions, Funeral is for family members only.

Aunt Ann was a devoted and loving wife to my Uncle Donald and a loving and nurturing mom to John, Donal, Joyce, Dermot and Kevin.

She cared lovingly for my grandmother Catherine Flaherty (nee Keaveney), my Uncle Donald and my Aunt Margaret, in the warmth of her home in Castlelucas, when they were ill and in need of care. Being so far away from all of them, I was always comforted by the thought of the wonderful care they received from Aunt Ann. She provided that same loving care to her sisters Mary and Carmel when they were ill.

I have so many great memories from all of my trips to Castlelucas. Aunt Ann was always so warm and welcoming. She will always have a special place in my heart.

Aunt Ann was blessed with five great children who adored her and cared for her wonderfully over these past years! I know they will miss her dearly.
