i first met Jim in Maynooth college in the early 70s to say he was a character would be an understatement he was an intellectual a comic an actor a raconteur a wit a man with the common touch he was a lousy golfer but a good snooker player he was a world traveller he was a kind and caring person his acts of charity were never bragged about he was a master of the latin language and used it to great avail in many pub conversations we had over the years. sincere sympathy to his family and all his friends RIP
