Leo Kilbane,

Bolinglanna, Currane, Achill - peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital.

Remains arriving at Currane Church on Saturday morning for Mass at 11 o’clock followed by burial in Polranny Cemetery.

Mass is for family only please.

Very sad to learn of Leo' s untimely passing. His friendly personality will be missed. Another light gone out in "Ben Dearg" in the home of that wonderful and great and kind family The Kilbane's.Leos passing has sparked many fond memories spent in Ben Dearg with Martin and his sister Mary Madden. It is also an appropriate to remember all the Kilbanes at this time. Mary, Martin and Mikey, Leo's father Pat, who used to visit mother in Athlone on his return journey to England during the sixties, and that wonderful character Jimmy Kilbane who brought great life to Currane during his retirement years. Visiting Ben Dearg was an education, the visits to the old Copper mine shaft, the Ice House, where the "Loch Ard" river entered the stoney shore line, their own private beach Trá Ben Dearg, You couldn't be closer to Wild Atlantic and nature itself than the Kilbanes home. May Leo rest in peace.
