Austin Gannon (better known as Austie),
'Kantara', Breaffy Road, Castlebar and formerly of Moneen, Castlebar - peacefully at Cuan Chaitriona Nursing Home, Castlebar.
Son of the late Tom and Margaret (nee McHale) Gannon, Moneen.
Dearly loved husband of Anne (nee Daly) and loving father of Anne, Tommy, Joe, Olive, Alan and Karen and the late John and Michael.
Fond brother of John (Leeds, UK) and the late Pauline Murphy (McHale Road), Peggy Gray (Moneen) and Bridie Casey (London).
Austie will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, daughters, sons and their partners, sons-in -law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Austie who was aged 85 years worked with Mayo County Council for many years and was the former Assistant Chief Fire Officer of the Mayo Fire Service.
Austie will repose at his home on Sunday evening from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock for family, friends, neighbours and colleagues.
Removal on Monday morning arriving at St. Aloysius Church, Breaffy for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock.
Funeral afterwards to Castlebar New Cemetery via Station Road.
Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Palliative Care, Castlebar, c/o Kilcoyne Funeral Directors.
The family would like to convey their gratitude to the staff of Mother Teresa ward at the Galway Clinic, the Galway Hospice and Cuan Chaithriona Castlebar.
