Rev Fr. Paddy Gilligan Retired Parish Priest,

Castlebar and formerly of Ballintubber, Claremorris, Co. Mayo – peacefully at Mayo University Hospital on the 4th of August 2020.

Deeply regretted by his loving brother John (Ballintubber), Chris (Barnacarroll), Frances (Castlebar), Agnes (Limerick), Cait (Lucan) and Anne (Kilmaine).

He will be sadly missed by his sister-in -law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Archbishop Michael Neary, priests and all the religious of the Tuam Diocese will miss Fr Paddy greatly.

His remains will arrive to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Thursday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon with the funeral proceeding to Ballintubber Abbey Cemetery.

House strictly private please.

No flowers by request.

The Funeral Mass can be viewed on the Castlebar parish webcam on http://www.castlebarparish.ie/webcam/ or listened to on Castlebar parish radio channel 105.3fm.

In accordance with Goverment and HSE directives relating to public gatherings. Fr Paddy's Funeral Mass and Burial will be for family members and close friends only.

Paddy was just as kind and thoughtful then as a young lad as he has been in his lifetime.
