Private funeral Mass will take place in Galway Cathedral on Tuesday at 12 o’clock with burial afterwards in Rahoon, Cemetery, Galway.

Mass will be streamed live on Galway Cathedral Facebook.

I didn’t know her personally but I had the privilege of meeting her a few years ago when we had our farewell ceremony for the Mercy Sisters in Ballyhaunis. She taught in the Mercy Secondary school & played a major part in laying the groundwork that led to the amalgamation of the Vocational School, Mercy Secondary & St Patrick’s college to form Ballyhaunis Community School in 1978.
