Monsignor Fachtna Joseph Harte,

Orlando, Florida and formerly of Moneen, Kincon, Ballina, Co Mayo - peacefully at his home in Orlando (May 30^th, 2020) in his 90^th year.

Monsignor Fachtna’s remains will repose at the home of his nephew Aidan Harte, Bellasallagh, Kincon, Ballina on Sunday evening, August 2^nd.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, Monsignor Fachtna’s removal is private for family, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass will take place Monday, August 3^rd at 11am in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Kincon, Ballina followed by burial in Rathfran Cemetery ( F26 P9T3).

Deeply regretted by all who knew him, especially by his sisters Ann Jackson (Douglas, Cork) and Monica Fitzgerald (Dartry, Dublin), brothers-in-law Jim Fitzgerald and Liam Holland (Rathfarnham, Dublin), sister-in-law Mary (Moneen).

Very sadly missed by nephews, nieces, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grand nephews and nieces and his wide circle of friends in Ireland and America.

Monsignor is predeceased by his parents Timothy and Elizabeth (née O'Neill), his brothers Aidan and Enda, his sisters Ita, Sr. Columbiére (Maeve) and Carmel.

The funeral will be broadcast via www.churchtv.ie, select “Kilfian”, and on Kilfian Church radio.

One of his greatest loves was Gaelic Football. While he was in good health he never missed an All Ireland when Mayo were playing. He was very interested in Kilfian Parish and the Kilfian Team and wanted to hear all the news about what was happening. When we were building the Clubhouse he helped to raise money to build it.
