As an Irish American who settled in Connemara, 1997, I had the pleasure of meeting John when I sought access to the internet service (and, yummy Coffees) which he offered Customers of "Two Dog Cafe", in Clifden.

I will always regret not having followed up on opportunities to discuss Astronomy, U.S. Politics and Natural History with John, since leaving Clifden, 2011. I thought I'd have the opportunity to listen to his take on Astronomy and America's 2020 Presidential Election, once my Cleggan Cottage was built. I was sure our paths would cross at whichever Clifden Arts Week was NOT postponed due to Covid-19. That was not meant to be!

I think the Life of John Claro should remind anyone who met him: "If you cross the path of a thinker & troubadour? DON'T forget him: you'll learn much!"
