Very Reverend Canon J J Cribbin P P Milltown Co Galway and formely of Main Street Ballyhaunis Co Mayo peacefully at Mayo University Hospital on the 08/05/2020 Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Maria and his brother Tom

Deeply regretted by his brother Tony /his sister in law Anne /nieces Louise /Cliona /and Aine/and nephew Tony grandnieces and grandnephews his Grace Archbishop Michael Neary and the priests of archdiocese of Tuam his former parishioners his great friends Val and Maise Jennings and the wider circle of friends relatives and friends.

Due to H S E and government guidelines a private funeral for family members only

A private funeral mass will take place in St Patricks church Ballyhaunis on Sunday 10 May at 12 o clock with burial afterwards in the local cemetery

Funeral can be viewed on Ballyhaunis parish webcam and also listened to on Ballyhaunis Parish radio.

Family flowers only donations if desired to Mayo/Roscommon hospice c/o Donnellan undertakers Ballyhaunis

It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of Fr. J.J. As former Principal of Milltown, N.S., it was my privilege to have worked with him for over 20 years. To lots of people he was the 'teak tough' corner forward, who never lost his love for Mayo, but to me he was the Priest and friend that I most remember. He was generous to a fault having no interest in material things or honours. To refer to him as 'Canon' was a test to his humility. His generosity of spirit in dealing with staff and children in the school was ever present.
