Reverend Fr. Seán Kilbane

Society of African Missions, Blackrock Road, Cork and late of Mountbellew, Co. Galway (on 3rd May 2020) - unexpectedly at the Cork University Hospital, Wilton, Cork.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary (nee Dermody), his sister Maureen (Sorahan) and his brother-in-law Seamus Sorahan.

Deeply regretted by his sisters Sheila (Sr. Genevieve, Presentation Sisters, Athenry), Pauline (Sr.  Angelina, Sisters of the Holy Spirit, Texas), Martha (Mountbellew) and Angela Brennan (Swords, Co Dublin) and his brother Monsignor  Seamus (Middlesbrough diocese, England), his niece Aoife and nephew Dónall, relatives, friends, the people of Ondo and Ekiti dioceses, Nigeria and the Archdiocese of Tuam and his confreres in the Society of African Missions.

In line with government guidelines the funeral will be strictly private.

Mass will be broadcast on Wednesday, 6th May at 12 noon on www.smawilton.ie

Sincere sympathy to all on the passing of Fr Kilbane...we have fond memories of him when he served in Kilmeena..a total gentleman. We visited him in Skehana after he left our parish and had some great laughs over cups of tea.
