Coolaney has been presented with an award, as county winner in the North Western regional section of the Supervalu Tidy Towns competition.

At the ceremony on Friday, Minister for State Denny McGinley, made the presentation, and also named Riverstown as highly commended and Ballintogher as commended. An Endeavour award went to Culfadda after it achieved the best improvement in score in 2012.
